AUDIT MODULE 05 · BRAND SAFETY & SUPPLY PATHS

Brand Safety does not end with a keyword – and supply paths do not end with a domain name.

H.O.T. AG combines Brand Safety and Brand Suitability review with OSINT, domain and operator analysis and supply-path context. This means assessing not only visible page content but also the structures, sellers, redirects and monetization paths behind delivery.

How do Brand Safety and Brand Suitability differ?

Brand Safety addresses fundamental risk categories such as hate, disinformation, violence or other problematic content. Brand Suitability translates a specific brand's values, exclusions and contextual requirements into an operational logic.

Why are blocklists alone insufficient?

Lists age, domains change, content changes and inventory can appear differently through resellers or spoofing. We therefore combine lists with context, operator, supply and delivery information.

What role does OSINT play?

OSINT helps investigate operator structures, connected domains, disinformation networks, redirects or economic relationships that are not visible on a single page. This matters especially when a brand wants to assess not only content but the financing of particular ecosystems.

How are Brand Safety and supply paths connected?

A problematic domain may enter the bidstream through several seller chains. Sustainable action therefore requires understanding not only the visible URL but the buying route behind it.

What does H.O.T. AG deliver?

Documented findings, prioritized risk categories, include/exclude recommendations, publisher and supply-path questions and a governance logic for approval, escalation and ongoing updating.
