Did the campaign deliver in the right geography?

A basic but important check is whether CTV impressions actually ran in the intended market. Fou shows examples where measurement coverage is high and the overwhelming majority of measured impressions match the target country.

Is the CTV impression actually CTV?

Device type, app or bundle information and the observed rendering environment should be consistent. A field in a bid request is not sufficient evidence because supply-chain data can be wrong or falsified.

Fewer supply paths reduce cost and uncertainty

Fou shows a German waipu example in which additional supply sources appeared alongside the direct route. His practical recommendation is to remove unnecessary reseller and arbitrage paths and structure deals as close to direct buying as possible.

Post-bid measurement complements bid-request data

Spoofing can occur when device, app or inventory information in the bid request is false. Measurement attached to the delivered ad provides a second observation of what happened after the bid.

CTV attribution needs a realistic click model

Many conventional CTV spots do not create a direct web click. Unexpectedly high click or conversion activity should therefore trigger a review of how those signals were technically generated; QR-code interactions are a separate case.

Connect in-ad and on-site evidence

Fou recommends measuring CTV delivery and downstream website activity separately, then testing whether the two evidence layers are mutually consistent.

Methodological note

This article describes principles and questions. Specific fraud, bot or quality rates cannot be transferred directly to individual campaigns without understanding methodology, scope and data basis.
